Black Epoxy & Grey Walnut Coffee Table

Wildwood Crest is a beach town at the southern edge of Cape May, New Jersey. The grey tone and the unusual natural distressing of the walnut in this custom coffee table is reminiscent of the driftwood that comes ashore from the Atlantic Ocean. The black epoxy resin certainly adds to the high end, luxury feel of the piece. Notice the two rivers, the pond and the puddle created with the epoxy. Knots and swirls and cracks in the walnut give the handcrafted coffee table extreme character! The abstract, biomorphic custom base was fabricated at our metalworking studio. CVCF is committed to keeping our forests healthy and productive. The walnut used in this table was harvested sustainably from a mature tree designated for culling by the Ohio Division of Forestry in order to improve the habitat for the younger trees and wildlife in the area.
